Haas drivers will likely be excluded from the qualifying protocol.
FIA technical delegate Joe Bauer said the cars of Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen failed technical inspection after qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix. On both Haas vehicles, a discrepancy between the moving elements of the rear wing (DRS system) and the technical regulations was revealed.


Bauer referred the matter to the stewards. Most likely, the pilots will be disqualified.


Hulkenberg took 12th place at the end of the session, Magnussen - 15th.
