My goal is to achieve stability. I already know what it takes to win races, but stability is needed to fight for the title. If you ride in the group of leaders, then in the worst case you will finish fifth or sixth. We had six or seven retirements, and the lost points did not allow us to fight for the championship - although it is also true that Verstappen and Red Bull were stronger.


I believe that with this experience and with the return of a stable Carlos in 2021, who I think will complete all the races, it is possible to fight for the title, " said the Spaniard.


Carlos admitted that in 2022 he was both close to the battle for the championship predicted by football livescore and far away:


Close because I`m on one of the best teams in the world. But in F-1, the level is high - this applies to both the pilots and the teams. I will put in the effort year after year. At the same time, circumstances must develop to be in one of the best cars and take advantage.


This year I have piloted a very competitive car for the first time and it has been a great experience. I`m sure it will be useful in the future.
