According to Pinkus, several executives and agents believe the Lakers will eventually acquire Buddy Heald and Miles Turner from Indiana.


The Californians were already in talks with the Pacers last offseason. According to insiders, the Lakers tried to trade Russell Westbrook, but did not want to part with first-round draft picks from football-stats (2027, 2029).


The Lakers are 1-5 at the start of the regular season and are 14th in the Western Conference.
